Berta Kolteniuk es una pintora mexicana que gusta de experimentar todos los conceptos de la pintura. Tras haber vivido siete años en Estados Unidos y madurado su estilo, regresó a México para extender su crecimiento profesional. Gusta de crear irregularidades en sus pinturas, introduce manchones que surgen de la propia pintura derramada y relaciona su trabajo con el clima y las superficies, determinando así los contornos y formas.
"Me gusta jugar con las proporciones, sacar la pintura del muro y ponerla a jugar en el espacio, es mi manera de decir que la pintura también interactúa. No creo que los colores tengan un significado único, pero si algo he comprendido es que el color no puede existir solo, siempre tiene que estar relacionado con otro tono o con el contexto". Berta Kolteniuk is a Mexican painter that likes to experiment all concepts of painting. After having lived for seven years in the United States and maturing her style, she returned to Mexico to extend her professional growth. She is keen on creating irregularities in her paintings, introducing blurs that come out of the dripped paint, and relating her work with the weather and surfaces, determining this way the contours and forms.
"I like to play with proportions, take the painting off the wall and have it play in space, it's my way of saying that painting also interacts. I don't think that colors have a unique meaning, but if there's something I've understood is that color can't exist on its own, it always needs to be related to another hue or to the context".
