Anno 1584 to this present 1624; with the proceedings of those several Colonies and accidents that besell them in all their journies discoveries. Also the maps and descriptions de all those countries, their commodities, people, government, customs and religion, yet known. Divided into six books by Captain John Smith.
Texto con manchas de óxido, algunas hojas y láminas rasgadas y reparadas con cinta, portada reforzada con una hoja y sin punta inferior, páginas 109 y 469 - 470 sin punta inferior, y páginas 469 - 556 sin punta superior afectando texto.
Encuadernado en pasta dura.
Destacan los "Viajes en Oaxaca" de Nicholas De Menonville (753 - 876 p.), con tres láminas "Peak of Orizaba, from the forest of Xalapa", " Volcanoes of Puebla, as seen from the City of Mexico" y "Harbor and City of the Havana…". Primera edición del recuento del colorido y emocionante viaje de Menonville, que se embarca en un viaje de descubrimiento y recolección de plantas e insectos mexicanos, para beneficio de la corona francesa. A pesar de haber tenido una orden de expulsión del Virrey mismo, logra burlar a las autoridades coloniales por medio de elaboradas tretas y engaños.
